I love taking pictures as one of my special hobbies and seeing the results. I first started photography lessons in High School and learned about black & white photography. We learned how to develop film negatives and how to use enlargers (old fashion way) to print the pictures. During my last year of high school the photography instructor taught us how to develop pictures from color negatives.
While working for United Airlines I traveled to the Hawaiian islands about 25 plus times. I photographed the islands (Kauai, Big Island, Oahu and Maui) using a Nikon F2 SLR camera. When I got married we traveled to the Tahitian Islands on our Honeymoon. After a few years we traveled to Australia and New Zealand.
Professional I am a Software Quality Assurance Engineer with many years computer technology experience. My first computer industry job was in IT (formally MIS) and I continued to stay in the field of computers by moving into Technical Support positions in supporting routers and bridges, client/server and web technologies then finally for the last twelve years as QA Engineer for web-based Enterprise applications. I am currently working for HP Software testing Cloud Service Automation.
I exclusively use a NIKON D300 DSLR Camera for all my photographs since November 2007. I use the following lenses: Nikon AF-S 18-200mm F/3.5-5.6G ED-IF DX VR II and Nikon 14-24mm F/2.8G AF-S ED.
I use Capture NX 2 with NIK Software filter plugins as my main imaging enhancement software for RAW processing. I use Photoshop CS3 and NIK Software plugins too. I use Adobe Lightroom to organize the pictures in creating the PHOTO GALLERY for this site.
